UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS

Expanding Your Global Footprint

Atlas Workshops partners with universities locally and internationally to support programs and projects across the globe.

Drawing on our global network, expertise for experiential learning, and passion for finding interesting insights around the world, Atlas Workshops can expand the global footprint and capacity of your programs. We can help design and facilitate faculty-led programs, operate short or mid-length study away programs, or manage global centers and project hubs.

  • Atlas works with university professors and international program offices to co-develop a range of field-based topical explorations. We can handle all of the travel logistics as we collaborate with you to develop contemporary curriculum, enlist local mentors, and design impactful short-term study abroad programs around the world.

  • Atlas also offers open-enrollment programs called Study Away Studios for university students. These programs are open to both undergraduate and graduate level students looking to work on a multi-week facilitated project in the field. Students often join on an individual basis, but we can also work with universities to offer space to a designated number of your students, and make sure these programs meet your curriculum or credit requirements and safety standards. We can also adapt an existing program into a faculty- or Atlas-led program just for your students.

  • Our network of global destinations can be a launching pad or base for your international project or global center. Alongside our international staff and local partners, we can help to establish either a short-term or longer presence in the field. From running longer term study abroad programs to developing and managing research projects and local initiatives, we can help expand your global reach.

Beginning in 2023, we will be launching our Atlas Hubs around the world. In each hub destination, we can offer more expansive initiatives and collaborative programs connected to local issues and communities. While the focus and strengths of each hub varies, they all serve as more permanent centers for short-term and ongoing projects, with a focus on global insights, cutting-edge research, and real-world application of ideas. Universities are invited to join these projects as partners and collaborators, and increase your global footprint through our staff, programs, and ongoing initiatives.
