Next Generation High School Travel
Atlas Workshops partners with schools to develop project-driven field programs at home and abroad that foster curiosity, a global mindset, design thinking, and align with curricular goals. We can help a faculty member bring their new trip idea to life or you can explore some of our current ideas and past programs.
We’ve led innovative programs in partnership with incredible schools around the globe — and are continuing to develop new ideas for custom programs. We work to align with your school and share our experience on everything from place-based learning to risk management.
Some Partnership Ideas:
We have worked closely with a single faculty member or a small team to develop a program that aligns with a particular course, subject, idea or interest.
Course-Based Travel or For Credit Trips
We have developed high school trips that are for credit or compliment an existing class. We can work to help assess "content hours" and integrate learning outcomes into a highly experiential, but still academic trip.
Design-Thinking Trips or Immersions
With over a decade of experience in the design field, we can help link with experts, design challenges, or guide students through a creative design thinking project as part of any trip, or as the core objective of a program.
STEM Based Travel Programs
While we have led trips on subjects from social entrepreneurship to literary history, our teams unique background in design and engineering allows us to develop more hands on or technical trips to different parts of the world.
Professional Development and Program Design
We can work with your school to plan place-based learning workshops for faculty or students at home or away. We can bring our experience in design thinking or innovation from around the globe. We can also consult on specific travel or innovation programs at your school.
Custom Programs of all Kinds
No two programs are the same. Every trip we lead is a unique project or learning experience, and every year we lead a number of totally new trips in partnerships with schools. If you have a crazy idea for a trip or just want something a little different from some of our past programs or offerings elsewhere, let's chat!
